Volunteer Caregivers

Volunteer Caregivers provides transportation services for appointments and shopping at no charge for those over 60 years of age and the disabled. Seasonal yard maintenance, minor home repairs, companionship, and respite for family members are also offered at no charge. In 2015, CFIA volunteer caregivers drove a total of nearly 43,000 miles. Answers on Aging

Answers on Aging provides enrollment assistance for the Senior Health Insurance Program, Medicare Part D, Illinois Benefits Access Program, and Information and Assistance. This program is in place to educate seniors and their families about overcoming barriers in order to receive benefits to which they are entitled. Elder Connection

Elder Connection

The Elder Connection provides monthly social events, such as trips to local attractions, events, and restaurants. Our volunteer drivers provide transportation at no charge, and attend the outings with the care receivers to provide companionship.
